Race Training

On your mark, get set, SUP!

This coarse will walk you through the techniques and skills that will keep you competitive and make racing fun.

Week 1:  Bases Covered

Get introduced to SUP the right way.  We will play with balance, paddle stroke technique, manueverability and safety.  As you learn the skills, and techniques you will also learn the boards, paddles and the history of the sport.  The waterman lifestyle, and an understanding of the water, wind and waves, will leave you with a great respect for the lake, and a new addiction for Stand up paddleboarding.

Week 2:  Refine understanding

Now that you know the basics, we will begin to refine your skills and get comfortable on the board.  Balance, foot work and bracing will excel your comfort and confidence.  Basic strength and flexibility training will begin, boosting your performance and agility.

Week 3:  Take it to the next level

Your now getting comfortable on your board, feeling balanced and ready to move.  Sprinting, pivot turns and buoys will begin to challenge your skills.  You just jumped a level!  Board skills and manueverability turn technique into FUN.

Week 4:  Lets race!

We will put your new found skills to work for you!  Sprints and mock races will get you ready for more and challenge your own abilities.  Racing is all about having fun and pushing your goals.  Wheather you are out for friendly competition or just enjoy the work out, SUP racing is a fun way to enjoy being on the water.
